Some of the houses doing COB are invitation only. These are chapters that only have a few openings. So you a rec would only help you if you are invited in these houses.
I don't have a list of who is doing open parties but I know of at least 2 that are doing invite only. Check with PHA and they will give you the info you need

Invite-only COB is when houses only have a handful - like, 5, for example - openings and they already know people they might want to fill those spots - friends of actives for the most part. There's no point in making it more public as they'd just get lots of interested girls who would then be disappointed.

The ones doing invite only— will we find out which & be able to contact them? Or is it usually pretty strict that they have to know you prior?
