greek life isn’t going to be social anymore

by: Wtwudjenqksn

It’s clear that the university is trying to bully out fraternities to eliminate the risk of any Greek life related death. This is makes sense for their benefit and I don’t blame them for doing so. What reasons are holding fraternities from all going underground and continuing operations unaffiliated with the university?

It's not worth going underground because after a year or two the chapter will fall apart, no one will pay dues, and you won't be protected by nationsals. Yea it would be fun to go out with a bang, but it's more of a slight at the university to stay on campus and continue to fight the good fight.

Any frat with common sense is going underground. The university thinks they can just change the culture of greek life but as we have seen in these past weeks underground frats are still throwing parties and girls are still going. To say underground frats wont be successful is ignorant. Many schools have all their greek life underground and look at sammy, they successfully operated underground for 4 years and now that theyre back off they seem to be doing just fine witH a 30 something person pc and successfull parties.
