disappointed but not surprised

yeah I understand, there are different types of girls in each house but in general, I get the sense that the girls judge you before you even start talking. I did not want to rush initially, but I decided to give it a chance and I regret it. The process is definitely flawed; there were some girls at some houses I talked to where I wondered how they even got in (obviously fake personality and horrible social skills) and it makes me seriously question the phc community.

That's literally untrue though I found the middle and bottom tier houses more desirable and had great conversations with them while top tier felt fake to me. Still got dropped though and was stuck with one top house that I hated and sigma kappa (which was full of socially awkward and rude girls) so I dropped. Everyone thinks that it's the PNMs that are shallow but just take a look at the girls who actually made it through recruitment and tell me again it's not looks based

I see both sides. I understand how lower tier houses who don't recruit based on looks would be irritated by these comments. However here's the situation. I'm a pnm who's pretty cute (hoco queen and prom queen and other stuff) really smart, but doesn't do myself up or wear a ton of makeup and not blond. I felt defeated because I was dropped by so many houses from ALL tiers. I was left with houses I simply didn't feel comfortable in. The fact that so many of these houses that I liked said no to me prob because I didn't fit the sorority girl image made me feel terrible about myself not interested in Greek life at all

Middle tier houses do care about your looks, smh

Talking about how you were homecoming and prom queen and how you are hot just reinforces the fact that you aren’t a highly desired pnm.... hahaa you sound so superficial and I can guarantee no active would find someone as conceited as you appealing to their chapter. You kind of make it seem like you embody the stereotypical sorority girl in the worst of ways, and even the top houses at UO are down to earth.

Ummmm DIDNT say I was hot, I'm just decent looking and only added the prom queen part so it's not like I'm lying. I just am very confused and hurt by the process, like what are actives exactly looking for honestly??
