Guys- you will get hazed no doubt, but it’ll never be too brutally;), housing is great for SNU and coming for everyone else, throw great dartys night party’s can be good but open party’s without wristbands can end bad. Girls- so many beautiful houses, no hazing, great looking girls, really involved.

not terrible, but there really isn’t much room for grinding and climbing the scene. Housing is an issue, but the university is churning out mansions as fast as physically possible. If you’re going somewhere specifically for Greek life, go to another similar sized school further south. With all of this said, it is a right knit community but it’s mostly frat/srat rather than inter-srat or inter-frat. Average for now.

Academics on the rise despite many fraternities under investigation.

Ncsu Greek life is growing and new housing is impressive. Most importantly is the bonding among all frats and sororities. They all look out for one another and know how to have a good time and hold leadership positions on campus. Highly recommend it.

Strong bonds among those in Greek life but also do not just stay to themselves. Great social life and activities. Housing getting better but ok for now with several types of houses.

Greek life here is like a small high school. What I mean is that houses are known by reputations that were established years ago and tier movement is impossible. For instance, look at Pi Phi and Theta. Both the two newest, and both consistently hated on as the "worst." In reality, Pi Phi is very comparable to Sigma Kappa, except more chill. Theta is very comparable to KD. But people won't let houses climb. We need more srats/frats, and hopefully they'll come after the new houses are built.

There's no denying that greek life at NC State is not up to standard with other schools of similar size. With that being said, the right changes are going into greek life to put it on the level of other universities... it just sucks being here while its happening. You can still have a great Greek experience at State but you will probably have to commit yourself a little bit more to get that experience.
