What are my chances of getting into one of the top tier sororities coming in as a sophomore transfer?

you most definitely have a chance! There's no discrimination on age!

I transferred this year coming in as a sophomore, didn't go through formal recruitment my first semester. I just now went through spring recruitment and I LOVE it! I was very nervous coming in older as well. They were very welcoming and I received a bid! Be confident! Hope this helps!

A lot of girls don't go through recruitment until their sophomore year anyways!

does anyone know if the sororities look at your GPA from your old school and take that into consideration?

we definitely do. when you sign up for formal recruitment you allow us to look at transcripts and what not.

How much will a "bad" GPA affect getting in somewhere? I have a 2.8 at my school now, which isn't fantastic. But I'm taking classes this summer at MSU, will they take that into more of a consideration over my school GPA now?
