recomendations

I am getting mixed responses. Are recommendations important to getting a bid? I was told no but my friend down the hall has like 4 recs per sorority. I heard most recs are not considered because most people don't even know the person they are writing it for. I don't want to be left out but heard they really werent that important. Does everyone get a bid? I am so nervous

References are rushed a little harder, but not having a reference will not hurt your ability to get into a sorority at all. I'd say at least 70% of bids never have a reference. Seriously, don't worry about it. You absolutely do not need a reference to get a bid
