legacy

I'm a legacy from 2 sororities. Do I have a better chance of getting in to those because of that? I don't have a lot of recs and my gpa is under a 3.0.

Each sorority has a different legacy policy, so it may or may not be helpful in recruitment. Sororities look at a lot of different things during recruitment, so I wouldn't be too worried. GPA is important, but it's certainly not the only thing that matters. You'll find your place. Be open to all of the chapters you go to and try not to worry too much. I obviously have no idea what your GPA is or what each chapter requires. If your GPA does prevent you from being matched to a chapter, don't be discouraged. GPA requirements are from nationals and the chapters really don't have a say in it. There is always COB or spring recruitment! Things will work out like they are supposed to. Just enjoy the craziness of recruitment :)

GPA is extremely important!! My daughter is a legacy at 3 different sororities with a GPA of 2.98. She was not asked back because she did not have a 3.0 at ANY of them!
