fall sorority recruitment
by: SophomoreI'm going abroad my second semester, and I'm a sophomore interested in rushing. Do any of the sororities do a fall recruitment like other schools? If so, how do I get info on it?

I doubt tri delt and aopi will because they both had huge pledge classes in the winter. I think Phi Sig and AEPhi will probably be the only ones so they can build up those two

Sororities only do fall recruitment if they're under quota (the number of required members set by panhel). Typically sororities that are under are "lower" ones with high drop rates. I'm guessing your choices this year will be Chi O, AOPi, Tri Delt, and Phi Sig. You might get lucky and have ADPi or Phi Mu in there too depending. And fall recruitment is typically invitation only, as in someone in the sorority knows you and knows you aren't greek but thinks you'd be a great addition to the chapter. Top houses almost never do fall recruitment.

Every sorority is good and has both god and bad qualities. Pickers can't be choosers so either suck it up and go for a "lower" sorority or don't join one at all. If you think you're too good for any of the ones doing fall recruitment then you don't belong in a sorority at all.

I know when Tri Delt colonized they took a bunch of girls who went abroad second semester so I think it should be fine. Just don't mention it when you talk to nationals to be on the safe side. Also other sororities might do fall rush- AEPhi definitely, and maybe Tri Delt and AOPi
