sorority rush as sophomore

by: PNM

If you go through rush your freshman year and decide to wait until sophomore year to do it again and accept a bid, is there any chance of getting a bid from a top sorority? Does waiting put us at a huge disatvantage compared to the pnms coming in as freshman?

if you get a bid and don't accept it it's highly unlikely that you will get a bid again from that sorority. Sometimes it affects what tier you will get your sophmore year. If I were you I would not wait, accept your bid and go through with it. It'll piss off the sisters who wanted to give you the bid bc they worked hard to get you in.

don't worry about upsetting the sorority who's bid you don't accept but i wouldn't wait to rush sophomore year to get a top sorority because they are much more selective with their sophomores and usually don't take people who rushed freshman year (because they would want them the first time around)

if you already signed the MRABA after pref you can't rush again for a year so you might as well accept the bid and try it out. you're bound to them for a year so what do you have to lose? give them a chance and see if you like them, then drop before initiation if it's truly not for you.
