top house

by: Chico

All these posts about what fraternity is going to become top house is getting annoying.

There are 3 top house spots open and as of right now they will most likely be taken by 3 of these 4 fraternities (and thats only if none of them get suspended again which is quite possible).

Kappa Sig, Lambda Chi, Phi Tau, Sigma Pi

The rest are irrelevant. Pike lost the deck house and their chapter house, Sigma Nus pledge class was garbage and no one will take them seriously until all the guys they just initiated are gone. OX is suspended and have a mandatory reorg from nationals which will hurt them more than their suspension.

Kappa Sig hands down has the best chance of taking one of the spots and this is obvious.

Lambda Chi is just starting but their alumni own houses in the downtown area which they will benefit greatly from, they also have a good amount of guys that pull. It will take them awhile to get a reputation with sororities but they have a good shot at taking a top house spot.

Phi Tau has a solid chance, their sorority relations have improved vastly and they did really well in recruitment this year. They also are getting annex houses next year. I see major potential.

Sigma Pi can come back hard and take a top house spot. If phi tau and kappa sig managed to come back with less than 20 members they easily have a good shot at it as well. Guys who got kicked out of Sigma Pi will help bring it back.

If you argue with this post your an idiot.

Sigma nu has a better shot than lambda chi and I think theta chi may weather the storm honestly guys. Theta chi's rep will live long and kids will want to join them is they are still here.

Theta chi will be more relevant than any of those suspended or not. Never really heard much of anything about the fraternities you just listed for top house besides Sigma Pi. The only cool thing Kappa Sig has ever done is throw that foam party a while back. Sigma Pi possibly for top house but the other three will probably always be irrelevant when it comes to top tier fraternities that sororities take seriously.

Also kappa sig has always been a solid mid tier frat (except last year cuz the suspension) idk why ppl think they are irrelevant I mean only Sigma Chi/thetaChi/SigmaPi were better than them. Phi tau has also tried hard and was a top house before . Honestly sigma pi will come back hard . But I still think sigma chi is a top house (despite independent) we don't know what the outcome of OX will be so they are a mystery.

Sigma chi will be irrelevant when all of the on campus fraternities get strong. The only reason they have fame now is because the greek system is weak. Without greek week, socials, and interactions with sororities regularly, they will slowly but surely loose sorority relations. They isolated themself from the entire system by going independent and the GDChi thing that someone did shows that.

how kappa sig is actually one of the smaller fraternities on campus (around 40 actives). But they are talked about as if they are an 80 man fraternity.
