They get a bad rep sometime but there are some really nice guys in Beta and they aren't afraid to do their own thing

This chapter is the picture of a great fraternity in the works. They may not be the coolest, but because of there social and brotherhood attributes they are climbing on the ladder to becoming by far the best fraternity on campus

I'm admittedly pretty close to the Betas - and they definitely have their issues like any other fraternity - but this is just a lie

The $500 was from a scholarship that they do every single year, and every Beta Theta Pi does it across the board. It was not a bribe. They got a large pledge class because that's where the pledges felt they fit best, and it's as simple as that.

My freshman year they didn't even have a house and now they're taking pledge classes of like 19. They're coming up in a big way and people are seeing that and rushing them. Not sure where the other negative comments are coming from - it's always just struck me as a really close brotherhood. Their parties aren't quite as wild as some other houses, but at the same time you never have to worry about being uncomfortable like you might at SigX or SAE.

There's just something very, very off about this group. They think incredibly highly of themselves, and they're classic "good guys" in all the negative connotations of that phrase. I mostly know the older pledge classes, but their levels of entitlement and condescension are through the roof. They've also fostered negative relations with a lot of the fraternities on campus. Their newest pledge class seems pretty solid, though, so hopefully things will start looking up once the seniors graduate.

Great guys who have worked hard to repair their image after being thrown off campus. Most people seem to be happy for them. I'm really excited to see where they go now that they have a house! Another note: they really actually seem to get along, too . . . doesn't seem like there's as much bullying here as in some of the other frats.

Faces an uphill battle if they wanna improve. Pledge class contains some very opinionated and dislikable characters. Some are nice of course, but so are every other organization. Bottom of the chart in terms of party quality.

Some of the best guys on campus. Very inclusive and accepting of everyone, but still has a great time. Solid alumni base for networking and professional development. They're improving their community service outreach each year. Won Chapter of Excellence last year and have some of the highest grades on campus. Sometimes kind of difficult to get to know, but I think it's because they genuinely like each other and spend most of their time with one another.
