I actually dropped alpha tau after my third semester because when I went through recruitment, the girls made it seem soooo nice and EXACTLY what I wanted to be in. When I was in recruitment they all made me feel important and crowded around me when I talked. Well don’t let it fool you, because once you get in, literally no one acts like they know you, and it’s extremely hard to jump in a clique even if you KNOW some of the girls beforehand like I did. I got in a car wreck and asked someone to help me (in the middle of the day, close to campus) and literally not a single person responded.. out of 140 girls!! I definitely thought this sisterhood would be different, but the inside is sooo fake. Just thought I should warn the girls that are thinking about rushing alpha tau because I definitely got caught in the “I wanna be know” epedemic. If you don’t care about that stuff as much, keep rushing (because they still need people to fill the quota), but if you need someone to help boost your self confidence then I’ll save you the trouble.
