Alpha Sigma Tau - ΑΣΤ Sorority at California State University, Los Angeles - CSULA 2.8 I remember during rush I was talking to a girl from AST. She was telling me how she met so many cool girls during her rush experience. In the end she told me "But they all ended up going to DZ" in a snarky tone. I'm guessing she was salty for not getting a bid from DZ.

I want to rush this fall and I follow their Instagram, I'm really confused on if they're alpha sigma tau or alpha tau. I haven't heard a lot of good things about them so maybe they're just ashamed of themselves idk. They also look like DZs less hot awkward cousin.

They're not ashamed nor are they trying to call themselves anything. Alpha Tau is their nickname,just as many other AST chapters. Just like DZ has Dee Zee, SLG has gammas, ATP has Alphas, and DPhiE has deephers, the AST chapter there has Alpha Taus. You wouldn't really understand until you become a greek or are given kind of a run down of how things work in the great community. All greek orgs have nicknames they tend to use.

If you're going to believe the bad rumors and gossip about them, than personally you don't belong in AST. One of the great things about them is their IDGAF attitude and mindset. They don't care what others spread about them because they know they're not true. Now think a little, why is it that the majority of rumors spread are about how bad AST is? It's because AST intimidates the other chapters, why else? They have no need to rate themselves up on these rank pages or bash the other chapters because if a girl is truly AST material than she wouldn't be swayed by rumors, gossip, and glamourous façades. She'd get to know them personally and decide from there.

You can't talk about the, like that when you don't know them. They could care less what anyone says or if they call them "DZs awkward cousins". they aren't fake like DZ, where the girls could have their GPA to join, but if the girl isn't pretty they don't give them a bid. think about that and take a look around all DZs and how Fake they are
