What is the best Fraternity and Sorority in the USA overall?

Just because a fraternity or sorority is good nationally doesn't mean they are a good chapter here at Long Beach

According to the Huffington Post Rankings of 2012
1) Phi Mu
2) Alpha Chi Omega
3) Gamma Phi Beta
4) Delta Zeta
5) Kappa Alpha Theta

We only have GPhi and DZ here at Long Beach State. So if you are into being in a strong national sorority those might be the way to go. AOPi has the most chapters in the U.S. , so if you want size that might be a good way to go. But honestly all the sororities and fraternities here are really good. Just depends what you want.

Tri Delta is pretty good nationally and we have them here. Alpha Phi really good here in California, but not that great nationally. But if you're looking for a big and strong California sorority, that might be the way to go.

Sigma Chi is really strong nationally.

When you are rushing a greek group------you are rushing the members
of that group presently on campus. All groups that are present at Long Beach
are thriving groups nationally and there are some that have been in existence
longer and therefore have more "name recognition". Also when rushing
look at the group of rushees that are at the parties you are attending because
they will be your pledge brothers/sisters for four years. To me that is more
important than even the members presently in the group.

According to Greek Rank Sigma Chi is the best fraternity nationally and Delta Zeta is the best sorority nationally. We have both here if that's what you're looking for

I think if you are going for overall National presence those two are the best. But all the houses here are good locally.

Sigma Kappa has a lot of chapters in California.

All the sororities and fraternities here have strong alumni here in the area.

You know, I'm not a Sigma Chi, but I am a little tired of people talking smack about them. They have worked really hard to get things together. I actually think they are pretty nice guys.
