When you are rushing a greek group------you are rushing the members of that group presently on campus. All groups that are present at Long Beach are thriving groups nationally and there are some that have been in existence longer and therefore have more "name recognition". Also when rushing look at the group of rushees that are at the parties you are attending because they will be your pledge brothers/sisters for four years. To me that is more important than even the members presently in the group.
