So 86,0000 people applied to go to Long Beach State this fall. Less than 30% got accepted. Making your school one of the hardest in the country to get into. The most difficult of all the State schools. The only UC schools that were harder were CAL Berkeley and UCLA. I had a 3.7 and I have been wait listed (probably won't get in for the fall). You all go on and on here on this website like a bunch of morons. Makes me wonder if I even want to go here and go Greek.

If you need proof that this isn't Ivy League then hang out with SAE and GphiB for about 10 minutes. Overall, this school is academic, but it really depends on your major. Communications is a joke.

2) Cal Tech
3) Stanford
4) Cal Poly SLO
5) CAL
6) UCLA
7) Cal Poly Pomona
8) CSULB
9) UC San Diego
10) UCIrvine

actually CSULB is above Cal Poly Pomona as far as difficulty to get into

Our nursing department is top notch but our premed could improve.

Most programs here are top notch. Graduate from the engineering department and you have your choice of schools.
