As many people stated, a phi and sig kap are known as the top houses. That being said, I would refrain from choosing a house simply because they're known as top. Pick the house that you feel most at home with. Alpha Phi is a group of gorgeous girls who are quite sporty and athletic but also can be laid back about many things. They seem to get along well with all the other houses too.

Of course girls in other houses are going to attack APhi right around recruitment bc they know APhi is competition. Girls, don't listen to this site. Girls in each sorority are all friends with each other and it doesn't matter which house you are. Yes, APhi SK and AXO are considered "top", but please end up where you are happy

I really depise Greek life but despite my opinion on alpha phi appearing as if they are the pretty blonde girls who only care what they look like, this house actually changed my perspective on the Greek community. I was at a party over the summer and a girl was throwing up on herself, where there were 2 alpha phi girls who immediately dropped what they were doing to help out an incoming freshman they didn't even know. If I were to be in a sorority, these are the sisters I would be proud to have.

im a little disappointed as a rushie to hear around campus that a phi isn't as good at cal poly :( my sister was an a phi a few years ago at ucsb where they were really good!

not a top house anymore. Had to give out open bids this year because too many girls dropped. not very fun or friendly. whoever said they actually know each other is misinformed

I am going into my senior year now and I never rushed but have always been friends with girls in sororities... All these comments on this page are pathetic and obviously from different houses on campus who know alpha phi is their biggest competition. Aphi will always be the top house, not only are these girls hilarious and always down to have fun, they are actually genuinely close to each other and pretty much only hangout with other aphis. You can ask any boy on campus aphi is no doubt the best

It's safe to say alpha phi at cal poly is officially middle tier. Last pledge classes have been average at best and it's just evident these girls are not getting any hotter

Alpha Phi is exactly what you would expect. A Cliquey superficial house where most of the girls are extremely two faced to eachother and backstabbing. There are definitely a few really cool girls, but they're the minority not the majority. A lot of girls drop after joining because they're disappointed with the lack of sisterhood. Rush aphi if you prioritize appearances over genuine friendships
