Sigma Kappa - ΣΚ Sorority Ratings at GVSU

Definitely top tier, way prettier smarter and nicer than any of the other sororities. A little intimidating on first impression! Going through recruitment all the girls were so sweet and seemed generally interested to get to know me. I would kill to be a sigma kappa, my friends and I are all dying to get in. All the frats love them the most from what I’ve heard. I hear they get a bad rep because everyone is jealous though other sororities copy them!

I absolutely love this sorority bc they are the most welcoming, down to earth, and genuine girls. if u think other wise u dont know them and should get to know each one of their amazing personalities

Funny how every other chapter comes on this website to trash SK and give the girls a bad rep! For all of the PNMs going through recruitment, stay far away from this horrible website. All this site does is spread hate and lies. Make opinions for yourself and find your home based on what YOU WANT.

Cool girls and cool chapter overall but one of the new girls straight up told me and said “I like feet”.....

After getting to know a lot of the girls in from mutual friends, I can say without a doubt that all of the negative comments on here about this sorority, are from people who got dropped or people who are jealous. These are some of the most friendly (and fun) girls that you will meet at GV. I have had classes with SK's before and talking to them/being friends with them makes me think about going through recruitment, because they truly exemplify what greek life and sisterhood is all about. Yes you're going to have cliques and drama sometimes, but that goes with being a girl, so clearly half of these people leaving reviews have never been in an all girl friend group before. Overall, this is my favorite chapter of women on campus and if you get to know these girls, i'm sure you'll quicly agree.

Every chapter on the GVSU campus is amazing in its own way. Girls who spend the time to post negative things about a chapter on this website have some of their own issues they need to deal with. Sigma kappa is nothing short of wonderful, kind, and friend. Any pnm would be lucky to join this chapter

The sigma kappa girls are some of the nicest people I’ve ever met. Anyone who posts these hateful comments obviously have some weird vendetta because almost every girl Ive met in the sigkap chapter has been kind and friendly. Even though a lot of girls in GV Panhel are in different chapters the love is still there. I’d vouch for these girls any day even if I’m not a sig kap

I know a couple of girls in it and they are so nice and chill. I do not know why there are so many bad reviews of sk, they do not deserve it.

You think this house gets a lot of hate, because they are pretty??? No there are pretty girls in every chapter and they do not get nearly as many negative comments as this one does because other chapters actually have substance. It is no surprise that the same negative comments are being said on this page over and over again, probably because they are TRUE! No one hates this chapter for being pretty, because no one hates DZ or Phi Mu or G Phi and they have equally as pretty if not prettier girls and they are actually nice, fun, and interesting people. People hate this chapter because they’re unapproachable, mean, cliquey, snobs, and even if you are in their chapter they will still ignore you if you’re not in their exclusive group. The frats on campus don’t even like these girls, because they bail on events and are standoffish. They have almost no PC19 left because every girl hated it and dropped or was bullied out of the chapter. Sad that this sorority ruined so so many girls views on greek life, but I promise there is more to being in a sorority than this. It is not about instagram and followers and how much money you have or any of that superficial garbage. Gain some substance and then maybe you could call your self a top house. - From girls in “bottom tier houses” that you make fun of (you should be more careful about what you say in public, you never know who’s listening)

I understand being in a top house with pretty girls who love to party is appealing to a lot of PNMs, but think aside from being able to say you’re an SK.... so many girls drop from being bullied. If you’re not part of the cliques, you’re excluded. If you are, you love it. Those are all the self ranks you see on here. They’re mean, entitled, exclusive, refuse to be friends with anyone outside of SK/in a top house, and have no substance to their personality. There’s so many chill girls in greek life.... they’re not here though
