This school is great when it comes to Greek life just because it isn’t as big so you have genuine relationships going. It can be a little competitive trying to get into a top house with sororities. When it comes to frats, there’s apparently “no hazing” but they definitely do haze and the pledges don’t do anything about it.

I love Greek Life at this school! For me the rush experience was very fun and I loved it! I met so many amazing people and got into the top house, remember not everything that is said on here is 100% true and find the house that fits you the best! Even if you think you want a specific house go in with an open mind to every single house!! The only thing that kind of stinks is that security shuts down parties super quick, but if you get there early enough there is still plenty of time to have fun and be with your friends, the houses are gorgeous and I love being apart of Greek life. I made lifelong best friends and I would not change my choice for the world!!!

The greek life at GVSU is honestly a top 3 in Michigan. The attractiveness of the sororities are definitely very top tier, all recruit very very attractive girls! The parties are really good, honestly GVSU is a really great party university in general so that's a given. The greek village is amazing I definitely love the houses! The recruitment period is not too competitive but definitely have to bring your A game and personality. No hazing goes on here.

The university hates us but everyone in Greek life is so chill and fun to be around and involved. Once the world goes back to normal I can’t wait for homecoming and Greek week and having fun with everyone.

It appears that more ladies are Greek compared to men. The houses look very nice, although I was never allowed on the second floor! I hear from friends that it can be difficult to “get in” to certain top houses.

Greek life at GV is a fun and unique way to get involved and meet a lot of really awesome people around campus. Greek life is full of motivated people that are all striving towards their personal goals as well as the common goal of improving each individual chapter and greek life as a whole. Socials, lip sync, and philanthropy events are just some of the awesome ways to get to know people and utilize the network of greeks on campus beside the stereotypical party. It can help set people up for success and working as a team and representing something larger than yourself. GO GREEK!

Greek life is this school is very different from other schools. All of the chapters work together and cooperate, versus compete against each other to be better than the others.

Greek life at GVSU is amazing and I couldn't imagine any scenario where I didn't rush. The only reason people hate Greek life is because the GV administration uses us as propaganda for problems. People not involved don't see the service hours, the charity events, the socials we have with one another, and most of all the love we share. I would if the university didn't blow up every time a small problem that could easily be solved and if the terrible newspaper actually did stories on the good things, GV and Greek Life would be way better off. Going Greek changes people's lives for the better and isn't going anywhere.

A scam for more university money. Very unhelpful in any situation and completely robotic. I don't think anyone in the greek system carries an ounce of GENUINE empathy or compassion. Its a huge group of over privileged, white kids who haven't worked a day in their lives. They don't care about philanthropies, they barely care about the well beings of one another, and they don't care about their future. Mommy and Daddy buys these kids' their ways to negligence of responsibility, and lame parties. Greek parties are the absolute saddest excuse of a party, as is greek life in general. I'm sorry, but if you're entire world revolves around your frat/sorority at gvsu, you are a waste.
