Originally, I was skeptical of Kappa Sig. I knew they weren't recognized and didn't know why a group of guys would create their own fraternity instead of just joining one or staying independent.. But now I've been to some parties and they're my favorite guys on campus. The biggest difference that I see with KSig is how close all of the brothers are. They're all about having a good time- something FU could use more of.

Kappa sigma is a great group of guys who are not in other fraternities because they are not your average fraternity jerks. They are good friends of mine who host amazing parties that I never have to pay to get into or to get alcohol. The reason their rush is different is because they understand that there is no reason to make your new pledge class do stupid stuff, it doesn't help your fraternity in any way. Also there house is awesome and me and my friends feel completely safe there.

I don't really like the KAs as a group, and they need to stop thinking that they own all the KDs. Other sororities exist too you know.

The past two years' pledge classes have solidified them as a solid middle tier. Caddy group who don't hang out together much at all. Yeah each pledge class has a few cool girls but have been unsuccessful in putting together a solid pledge class. Also they're turning in SigChi groupies. They have to go on a certain number of rush dates each week. If you have to try that hard there must be something wrong...

I'm an independent and don't know any of the KDs that well, yet I have nothing but good things to say about them. The girls are genuinely nice and super involved on campus and with their philanthropy. I haven't heard bad things about them, so I think that the people who are leaving negative comments really are in the minority as far as opinions go.
