How important is being a legacy when you rush a fraternity?

It's not. Last year I know of three Legacies that didn't even get bids into their parents fraternity.

Some organizations will take a closer look at you if you're a legacy, but it's not a guarantee for a bid.

It's nice but not that important.

Groups like KOT, Kappa Sig, and SAE will like it if your a legacy.

Phi Delt and SigEp only care if you like to party.

90% of the other chapters are just looking for members and don't care

Nice to have but not important.

If you're a chill cool guy you will get a bid legacy or no legacy.

If you're a dork but a legacy you're not getting anywhere except ATO.
