greek life advice

by: Greek Life Member

At the end of the day if you are really taking these fraternity/sorority "rankings" to heart you're doing it wrong and you're rushing for the wrong reasons. I suggest go out to all rush events and get to meet as many people as you can. Decide rankings for yourself, not off of what this website says. Wherever you feel at home or wherever you feel like you belong the most is the fraternity/sorority you should want to join. I know to many people that are unhappy with their current position because they really don't have friends in the fraternity/sorority they joined. This goes for top, middle, and even bottom tier. That's the core value that all of greek life shares is brotherhood and sisterhood. Just find your fit.

Literally 90% of the guys in SAE and KOT joined because they heard those frats were top tier

And the vast majority of girls in Kappa and Pi Phi did the same.

Those are just the facts sweetheart....

Right or wrong rankings matter

This is good. Freshman, keep this in mind because by the time you are a Junior/Senior it's the "fit" that counts and provides the most awesome, lifelong friendships.

Fit is over rated.

You think the majority if the highland park city boys going KOT are actually country? Of course not.

But that does not stop them from having a good time and being a good "fit".

Most Highland Park are just that, wee little boys playing rich little boy games. And, they only fit in with boys and girls just like them. Very sad.

Alot of it is just based off of who you know so you might not get connected where you "fit" because you don't have an in there.
