Why do sororities exist?

I’ve never met an interesting or intelligent girl in any sorority. Why do girls like to be associated with them?

Sororities aren’t abt men. It’s abt finding lifelong friends and a support group of likeminded sisters. Not everybody has an easy time making friends in college. Sororities are a place where we can be accepted.
