only did top six

alpha delta pi -- pretty girls, made up of mostly girls from the raleigh area. you typically would have to know someone to get into it, just as most of the girls that are in it now did. they're known to cheat and turn other people in during recruitment, but nonetheless they are a top sorority

alpha phi -- used to have a pretty iffy reputation, but have gotten pretty good in the last four years. they have a ton of girls from lake norman, wilmington and virginia. if this were high school they would be the "hot party girls"

alpha xi delta -- they just got pretty good in the last two years. they have a reputation of being boring and some refer to them as the "forgotten sorority", but overall they're a nice group of girls

chi omega -- really pretty group of girls but its really easy to pick out the legacies of this group. lots of cliquey girls within the sorority but there are a lot of nice girls mixed in, too. mostly from the south but have a few random girls from jersey, boston, etc

delta zeta -- good group of girls and they are more lenient on the races of the girls that they take unlike other sororities who are picky. they have a lot of really pretty girls but definitely have a few bad seeds holding them back

sigma sigma sigma -- has definitely fallen a lot recently, but they have some of the prettiest girls in greek life. if youre from wilmington and youre blonde, you will most likely go sigma. they party a lot just like alpha phi and are pretty nice

most girls going through recruitment tend to want a bid from one of these six sororities

Don't go only by this; all ten sororities have great girls and some that aren't so great. The best thing for you is to go in with an open mind since it only takes a year or two for a sororities rep to completely change.

Knowing people can help you out in recruitment but it doesn't really matter where you're from. Be yourself, have fun with it and you will find the place that is meant for you. I know amazing people in every sorority.
