I'm curious. What defines 'dirty rush' among sororities? I think a couple of fraternities already have a lot of their fall pledge class put together before rush even officially starts. Why can't a sorority tell a legacy she's going to get a bid? I'm not against sororities doing it any way they want. I just don't understand.

Dirty rushing undermines the concept of open fair and equal opportunity for new membership (supposedly) but the real reason is money! Think about it. Over 3500 girls pay $$$ to go thru formal rush. That would disappear if sororities openly pre bid embers.
The ironic thing is most houses already know who they are most likely to bid before rush.
