Difference men and women Greeks

Here is a legitimate question (which is unusual on this site). How do account for the difference in the way the males and females handled recent political fallout?
KD sorority posted congratulations on their alum Amy Barrett rising to the Supreme Court. Liberals attacked them so they issued an apology for having offended the left.
Girl Scouts posted congratulations on former Girl Scout Amy Barrett rising to the Suprene Court. Liberals attacked them so they issued an apology for having offended the left.
BUT
Phi Gam congratulated their alum Pence for having been elected Vice President and when the liberals attacked, Fiji told them to F-Off. And I think any fraternity would do the same thing. Ronald Reagan was an undergrad TKE and both Bushs were undergrad DKEs. No apologies, ever.
