dismal rush numbers for spring
by: IfcWord on the street is there’s less than 400 guys signed up for rush. If the deadline isn’t extended it’s gonna be tough for the chapters to make budget with that small of an average PC

People were saying the same thing about Fall Rush. Fall was really successful. ATO, Theta Chi, Pike, KA, Sig Ep, and SAE all had large Fall pledge classes. (Heard KA had their largest class ever.) The Spring may be small but it always is. Fall sets the budget. Spring is smaller, but since everyone has been here for a full semester, it’s just streamlined Rush. Quality over quantity.

Rush is always smaller and more laid back in the Spring. Pledge class sizes are usually about half what they are in the Fall. Also, the official count doesn't take into account that most houses have already have a lot of their spring pledges locked down or factor in that a bunch of upcoming TCC transfers for the Fall will probably be pledging this spring. So, settle down sweetie.

There are only 15 active frats and 2 or 3 of them are still in the penalty box with restrictions until the end of the year. Houses had big pledge classes last fall and on average don't look for more than around 20 in the Spring. There are plenty of rushees to go around.

The good thing about fraternity rush is that anyone who wants to get out and hustle can really improve and upgrade their chapter size and quality. Sororities can NEVER do that because of the extreme rush restrictions. We can have guys sign bid cards in the summer, or anytime! If you look for guys you want to pledge, you can get them signed up and they never have to even see another fraternity. I'm ranting because I'm trying to get my own fraternity to realize this.
