I heard SAE’s nationals came down and kicked out a bunch of guys? What did they do? Are they allowed to rush somewhere else now or are they just not in a frat anymore?

This happens, and it's the kind of thing that keeps chapters on campus instead of them getting kicked off.
Its always painful to lose friends, but SAE will be better off. they can rebuild their numbers and they're still here and fully recognized by the school.

1 brother was kicked out and 4-5 put on probation out of the 180+ active brothers in the chapter. Figured I’d set the record straight before any false rumors get around

Alright I don't usually post on here but I was involved pretty heavily in the review so I'll spell it out as clearly as possible:

- Pre-review there were 153 Actives
- Post review there are 83 Actives
- Of those no longer active: some were suspended with an opportunity to appeal, some were put on probation(generally for grades or outstanding dues/rent), and some were outright expelled

It's honestly for the better because the guys that are gone gone were ghosts or behind on dues/rent and really holding the chapter up. It also frees up a lot of money we'd otherwise be spending on costs related to those brothers.

Thanks for the explanation. Membership reviews are never fun. SAE will be better off now. They can rebuild their membership. They have a good house and location, and a decent reputation.

Not that guy, but that actually sounds like a good deal. The guys that don’t really contribute get the boot, and the guys already actually want to stay there have more power. I kind of wish my chapter would do that, there’s a select few guys that hold a lot of power and it’s not really fair to the rest of us.
