I don’t understand sororities but if you go to a club and see a lot of good looking, social guys 90% are in fraternities.

If they rushed for the right reasons, they would not have dropped. Too bad for them.

Nah, it's like this every year. So many girls start with the mindset that they only want certain houses because they believe their popularity and reputation on campus depends on what letters they wear. These girls make an emotional decision, either broken-hearted or pissed off, and drop out of rush completely because certain sororities are beneath them. As bad as they feel now, it will get even worse for them when it really hits home how much they are missing out on from not giving their remaining choices a chance. Truth be told there is every kind of girl in every house and if you compared composites without the letters you would hardly know one sorority from the other.

Lots of women spend too much time on this site and think "If I don't get into ZTA, KD, or DG, what's the point?" and drop out when they get cut from those. What they don't understand is that we have a lot of really great houses at FSU and the sorority experience is actually similar from house to house. In a group of 150 women, you're going to find your people. You get to have date functions, sisterhood events, football blocks, Homecoming, and all those fun things.

I was in a lower tier sorority and am now really missing my college days. I loved my sorority and wish I could be back at FSU getting ready to welcome new members for bid day. (I don't miss Tallahassee humidity though!) It goes really quickly and being in a sorority is fun. It's really their loss.
