recruitment twice
by: sophomoreI did recruitment last year and dropped halfway through. Will that ruin my chances if I rush again?

If you dropped because you didn't like the choices you had left then you need to accept that you will likely have the same outcome again unless you have made friends who will pull for you in houses that dropped you last time. Otherwise, no, your chances are not ruined at all.

What ^^ said. The houses that did drop you will most likely drop you again if that’s why you did it. It’s best to just find a house that wants you and then to go there. No reason to try and fit in somewhere where you feel no one wants you. But you won’t be dropped from houses because it’s your second time

I dropped too. Here’s my story. I wanted to be in a top 5 (according to this site) house. When I was dropped from all of them, I was disappointed and I dropped too.
In my rush group was the most beautiful girl I had ever seen. And not only was she physically perfect, she was funny and happy. She wasn’t over the top or attention seeking and everyone was drawn to her. I thought she’d have no problem getting in the top 3 and thought they’d be fighting to her.
On day 2 she came out of a house smiling and like glowing, sure she had found her people. This house was not in the top 5. I thought she could ‘do better’. But she was absolutely sure. I asked her, how do you know? And she said she could just feel it. She was 100% sure these were her future sisters. She pledged there and she is so happy. She is in a top mid. She rushed for the right reasons and was true to herself. I’m pretty sure if she found that feeling in a lower house, she would have pledged there. Status of the houses meant nothing to her. When I’d bring that up, she’d just smile at me and shrug her shoulders. I’m rushing again keeping the most open mind and sincerely hope I get that feeling of just knowing when I find my sisters no matter where they ‘ rank’ on this site. I already missed a year and sincerely regret it.

No it won’t! Go in with an open mind and be yourself! From someone who rushed as a sophomore for the first time and has been through recruitment with my chapter, know that you will be fine. If you are there for the right reasons you will find the best fit for you! Ignore the tier garbage, every chapter has wonderful women. Go where you feel comfortable and at home. I believe in you!

Perfect! It's all about fit; tiers are made up. Sounds like that girl found her top house, and that house got a top girl. WIN-WIN! Good luck to you, @Reality Check. I am sure you will end up in a house where the sisterhood will lift you up and you will be a credit to your chapter!
