pike
by: ?Is it just me or is it common word that pike is dropping off. Yeah I get it they'll "always" be the best because they have that house and their alumni, but ive heard and noticed myself that their brotherhood has gotten weaker and weaker over the years, and theyre not as much of a fraternity as a social club that you just need to be good looking to get into. Arent as much of a traditional fraternity as others on campus. Id like to hear others thoughts

They don’t haze(they can’t, they’re too big), they can’t possibly get to know all of their actives in 6 weeks of pledgeship, and everything they do is right out in the open. It’s hard to have fun when you’re under a microscope all the time.
Don’t get me wrong, Pike has been and likely will always be the dominant fraternity at FSU, but from my experience they’re set up more like a drinking club than an actual fraternity. No hate on them, I have a lot of boys over there. All solid men, it’s just - to my knowledge - not the same experience.

Pike is not ‘dropping off’ in terms of size, quality, alumni support, pull and leadership in campus. What you call the traditional fraternities have had their heads chopped off. Phi Delt, Lambda Chi, Sigma Chi, Phi Sig and now Phi Tau were ALL more traditional (parties, hazing) than Pike. Like all of us Pike is just trying to survive an administration trying to turn fraternities into sororities.
