fraternity rush

The chapters here at FSU are big so the pledge class are big too. The top tier fraternities will take 30-40 pledges in the fall. Don't fall too far into the trap of determining 'tiers' here. There are maybe six that are considered 'top tier' and they are close with the top sororities. But the truth is that there are other REALLY GOOD fraternities here where you can have a lot of fun and experience true brotherhood. For instance, Beta is not considered top tier but they won softball IMs and they were named 'Fraternity of the Year' by FSU. I can tell you that there aren't many (any?) fraternities here where the brothers are unhappy about being in their fraternity. Relax and enjoy the process.

I'm pretty sure Sigma Pi won Softball. Nonetheless, you raise a good point. Being that theres not alot of fraternities left on campus (compared to how it was 2 years ago) all the current ones have been able to grow.
