is rushing worth it

okay so i’m on the fence about rushing for a sorority. i’m here for summer c and have good friends and stuff to do but i don’t know if joining a sorority will make it a lot better, talking social wise. obviously i would do it for other reasons not just the social scene but it definitely is a big part of it. anyways if i didn’t rush would i feel like i was missing out on things? are there a lot of events and things that are greek life only or would i be okay because it just takes up so much time and i want to be able to focus on school and myself and finding my own friends too.
