why do everyone act like pike are gods

Why is pike such a big deal? I get the house and stuff but everyone makes them out to be gods. Even people in other states and schools all are familiar with the pike chapter at FSU and regard them as legends in the greek world. Whats up with that?

The only reason Pikes are 'gods' is because Sigma Chi and Lambda Chi are gone. Pike doesn't have any competition except Delt and Phi Delt.

For what its worth I don't think the individual Pikes are any better than guys in the other top fraternities. Well, some are, but th reason Pike has the standing is that as a fraternity they work really hard to keep up their rep as the #1 fraternity not just here but all around. They use all of their assets and advantages to stay on top. I don't think other fraternities care about that as much as Pike.

not academic smart, but they're smart in how they go about their fraternity business. They're all about rush, sports, social and they take it seriously.
