They banned all 4 councils over this, so I feel like the answer has to be yes. Business fraternities are meant to be productive and don’t really have a social aspect the way that Pan and IFC do. Yes, many issues do need to be addressed, and new rules are for sure to be expected. However, banning ALL Greek life over this is a bit much. I’m not saying Andrew’s death isn’t a big deal, but there are people being tangentially affected so there may be more information still to come about this suspension. IFC and probably Pan are going to have a culture shock after all of this though

How do you think IFC and pan will be affected?

It’s literally just suspended for now, it’s not a forever thing

From my experience at Penn State, the suspension will probably last until the end of the semester, but be advised that the University will hit Greek Life with new regulations that will have to be met by the entire Greek Community. This could be a good thing or a bad thing. At PSU, Greek life is continuing, but it's not the same anymore. Several fraternities are getting caught violating some of these new rules and are being suspended and/or kicked off, mixer/parties are limited per semester, our Rush has now been pushed back to Spring Semester only (which basically SUCKS) and every event (social/ philanthropy) needs to be registered with the university and campus security. Our Greek Life at PSU is literally under a microscope.
