There are thousands of upper middle class and upper class mostly white popular girls competing for a limited number of slots in very expensive girls clubs. And they have a week to decide who gets in. What did you expect?

Hmm--thousands of girls. Check. Upper middle and upper class $$$ wise. Check. Mostly white. Check. Popular girls. Check. Expensive girls clubs. Check. Limited slots. Check. A week to choose the girls. Check. Conclusion: spot on.

girls who have that mindset going in are only going to see exactly that, and that's why houses at schools like florida state won't get more diverse. I know my chapter has girls of different races, religions, incomes, and cultures, but if they didn't go into it with an open mind, they wouldn't have been able to make my chapter what it is today! If you look for strong bonds, aspiring leaders, fundraising for great causes, and ties to tradition that cross nations and decades, then you'll find your home. it's not a perfect system, but if you keep a negative attitude, then you'll never make it better.

I'm in a sorority that I love but you can't seriously think that rush is not superficial? It's all about first impressions and that's why great girls slip through the cracks. at least ppl get practice with talking to others
