legacy status and kkg
by: pnmdoes anyone know if i’m a kappa legacy and my mom went to uark if they will give me preference? i know a couple of girls but don’t feel like i’m super close w them. also will this hurt me in other houses?

If you don’t already know by now, my guess is you’re probably not on their list. If they haven’t yet, they will likely follow other chapters and get rid of legacy preference policies. I would reach out to girls in the chapter now and you might have a chance. Your mom should also be in contact with the chapter and local alumni groups

It won’t hurt you because all the actives talk in every house and they already know if you’re on KKGs top list or not. Or if you might be on their list but could be a steal etc. If your mom hasn’t received a phone call or been to a summer recruitment meeting or been on the phone talking to her pledge sisters about you all day long then your legacy status won’t carry you far. That goes for every house. There are more legacies than total spots in a PC.

As long as you don’t mention you’re a legacy to another house I think you’ll be fine!
