Who’s bummed about final bid?

Okay I will get hate for this but I ended up with a house (considered to be a lower tiered one always being talked about on this site). I don’t fit in at all. Not to be mean but I really bonded with one of the top sororities and felt I was a really good fit. I am going to drop. And yes I expected to get into a top sorority. Not sure what happened. The popular girls from the top sororities were al following me on Instagram. I was always the pretty popular girl in high school and not to be mean but I am totally shocked right now. My friends couldn’t believe it either. No offense to that sorority but I just know I don’t fit in with them. That’s the point I’m trying to make.
Did this happen to anyone else?

if the top houses rejected you once, they're not likely to consider you again. time to get off greekrank and enjoy geed life.

tbh, i was really really disappointed to get a bid from aoii. trying to look at the bright side as i know a couple of girls who dropped out earlier this weekend because rush wasn't going the way they wanted. our rho gamma was dealing with lots of tears and i just decided to stick it out and not be another mascara-streaked mess. but when i "ran home" today i just wasn't feeling it. i expected bid day to be one of the best days of my life. i know that sounds a little dramatic, but it's kind of a big deal. anyway, i was looking around and just not feeling like any of the actives or the new members were my future bridesmaids.

You can always rush again next year. If you have friends in a sorority you like that will help a lot. But since you dropped after bid day you’ll have to wait a whole year to rush or cob. I knew a girl who dropped AXO early on ( last year). Her friends got into DZ and Aphi. After a year she rushed again and got in DZ with her besties. She looks really happy.

The greek community at ASU is the most immature group i have ever seen. You all need to GROW UP! If you don't like the house that embraced you and extended you a bid then drop. That gives them an opportunity to pick up someone that really wants to be there. Aoii or whatever house you are talking about is not going to miss you at all! It is your loss...NOT theirs!
