how will the new rules affect off campus frats?

by: Just wondering

I hear that Panhel/IFC will pass new rules increasing sanctions for sororities caught mixing with underground fraternities. When this takes effect, will it kill the underground social scene?

Sounds like a 1st amendment violation to me. A government entity telling a group of citizens who they can and cannot freely associate with? Should be a good lawsuit.

They haven't said they can't do it. The chapter presidents suggested this as a potential new rule and they are voting on it at their next meeting, and it will be a reflection of how their chapters feel

Everyone talking about "rights" doesn't know much about FSL. They don't have to follow constitutional rights just like the JMU honor council just has to be 51% sure to convict you of a strike. They govern themselves and can make any rules they want. And this proposition will probably be passed and thus killing the underground scene for mixers. Sorry kicked off fraternities.
