Is suicide bidding worth it
by: heyI only liked two houses that I got back for sisterhood round, but if I only get one of them back and one that I absolutely do not like for pref, should I suicide bid? Is that bad luck?

so if you single intentional pref (suicide) then you are not guaranteed a bid. Every sorority has an A list and a B list for bids and the system tries to match you up mutually. So if you maximize your options you are guaranteed a match no matter what list you fall on, but if you suicide you only get the bid if you’re on the A list. It’s risky but if you’re confident enough that you’re top choice will take you and you absolutely don’t see yourself in the other house then go for it

Suicide bidding is when you only are willing to accept a bid from one sorority, not either one you had pref night. I can understand why many girls want to suicide bid when you really don't want your second choice, but when you suicide bid you actually reduce the chance of getting a bid at all. It has something to do with how the computer runs through names, if your name is only in the system once you're less likely to get a bid at all. Not sure if that really made sense but that is kinda how my rho gam explained it to me last year. Generally, suicide bidding is super risky and not advised.
