sophomore transfer
by: LmkI’m transferring to JMU in the spring and I was wondering if it is even worth rushing or if sororitys here don’t take sophomores.

As someone who rushed as a sophomore, a lot of sororities will drop you immediately bc you are a sophomore bc they lose that year of dues. I was heartbroken to learn that and didn’t get into my top picks bc of that, but I am ultimately happy where I ended up :) JMU has fall recruitment so if you transfer in the spring only 2-3 sororities do informal recruitment in the spring, so you won’t get the whole rush experience but it is possible to join one at that time.
