Frats - not so much unless most of you are already close with a bunch of guys in a particular frat - ATO had help from Pike when they first started bc most of the guys who started ATO were juniors who never rushed but always went to Pike parties.
Sororites - yes but with the newer sororitys like ADPi and Gphi. There is usually one or two chances to mix with the top tiers just to see if you're weird so hit a home run or else you'll be out of luck in the long run
