the truth about greek life

by: Anon

Hopefully everyone on this board agrees and up votes for some exposure.

If you're considering rushing, rush where you feel at home. You're going to spend the next 4 years with these guys virtually everyday.

Tiers exist but in the long run they're BS, no one cares if you were top/middle/bottom after graduation. Every fraternity parties, does intramural sports, etc. Find guys you can see yourself considering family and take it from there.

If you rush somewhere and don't get a bid, there's definitely a reason and that house more than likely wasn't for you anyhow.

Thank you and another thing I think that is important to remember is if you don't get your top house , you probably weren't going to like it anyway/you truly did belong there. Why would you wanna be somewhere where you don't fit in/potentially not liked?? Like you wouldn't keep hanging out with a friend who clearly doesnt like you so why would you be hung up on not being able to get into an organization with 200+ friends who don't like you? Oh yea I'm getting real.

Also to add on, because I know a lot of people wanting to rush base their houses off tiers. Most people who are Greek don't care who you are apart of. If you go where you're a absolute fit, people will respect that and you'll make that chapter a tighter brotherhood while you're active which is the whole point.
