We are an incredibly accepting atmosphere here at JMU, don't let this site make you think otherwise. Sororities take girls of all sizes, shapes, backgrounds, races, and culture because its personality and compatibility that makes a good sister, not looks. I promise all of our sororities will treat you and your future sisters right, with the only sorority as an exception to that I can think of being KA.

Absolutely not, please don't let that stop you from rushing. JMU has some of the nicest and most welcoming people you'll ever meet, and the sisters of each sorority will want to get to know you for YOU. It's a great experience and you'll find the best sisters who love and accept you for everything you are!
