So I rushed. I'm admittedly over weight but I'm very social and get along with most people I meet. The girls in the house kept telling me how nice and cool I was and gave me their numbers, so I thought I stood a good chance. Didn't get a bid, oh well, but I at least wanted to be friends with the girls I met. They never once texted or called me back. It's hurtful because I knew my weight might bar me from entry, but I wouldn't have thought they had no interest in ever talking to me again.

Omfg. Guess what? We're a sorority and whether you like it or not there are beauty standards. Next time do a little research first and don't rush if you know you won't make the cut. Don't write stuff about us on Greekrank because no one cares.

Whether or not this is an actual Alpha Phi, it's dumb to shadow their standards on "sisterhood" when it's not that.

I'm actually in alpha phi and can guarantee none of us would EVER write this response or drop someone because they were overweight.

not even just aphi but the entire greek community is highly superficial in general whether one wants to admit it or not sadly :/
