honest rankings (revised & corrected)

In a rush, there were some errors reading my list. Sincere apologies to those I left off!

There has been a lot of controversy recently regarding top houses, and rankings. Here's an honest list from a previous panhellenic exec member, this list is based on how well a sorority does in shows, grades, HOCO, campus involvement, social life, and overall personality.

Grades (as of Spring 2013 records):
1. Chi Omega
2. Pi Beta Phi
3. Kappa Alpha Theta
4. Kappa Delta

Follies (as of Fall 2013):
1. Sigma Phi Epsilon/Chi Omega
2. Beta Theta Pi/Kappa Alpha Theta
3. Sigma Nu/Pi Beta Phi

Varsity Revue, VR (as of Spring 2013):
1. Sigma Nu/Kappa Alpha Theta
2. Sigma Phi Epsilon/Kappa Delta
3. FarmHouse/Chi Omega

Homecoming (as of Fall 2013):
1. Phi Gamma Delta/Kappa Delta
2. Alpha Gamma Rho/Zeta Tau Alpha
3. Sigma Nu/Gamma Phi Beta
4. Kappa Sigma/Alpha Chi Omega
5. Phi Delta Theta/Kappa Alpha Theta

Overall (from previous lists, and Panhellenic standings):

Whoever hates on KD is most everyone. I wouldn't mind them personally, except that they are so all over this website and every other comment is about how they are #1 because they won (by cheating) hoco. They just seem a little bit desperate and a little awkward.

I feel like Philanthropic Involvement should go on this list, especially because the majority of our creeds as well as why we say people should join greek life is Philanthropic

It's funny that you left off the most important ranking. The houses reputations are based on the order that girls rank them during recruitment. For example, if KD is ranked as 7th or 8th during recruitment, it doesn't make them #4 because they won hoco. They are 7th or 8th and hoco is irrelevant. If a top house wins something, it's good but not necessary.

I agree with these. Yes reputation plays a role in actual rankings but there is no clear way to decide that. Everyone has a different opinion. But just based on "who is winning what" these rankings make since.

I agree that the only real ranking is the ranking the PNMs do during recruitment. Other than that, everything is equal. Some houses spend a lot of time trying to win and others just enjoy the participation and work on other things too. Both ways are fine. Recruitment is the only thing where all the houses want to do well and compete as hard as they can.

Thank you for this public service message, KD. You all are incredibly dense if you think listing yourself as a top house makes you one. To me it just makes me laugh until I think I can't stop. Sorry.
