These are how the houses are perceived by other greeks at OSU. There will always be those who disagree with this ranking because their house is ranked too low, but I can't help that. If you go through recruitment, you will see that this is the order in which the girls prefer the houses. Chi O is on top generally, but is very religious which doesn't attract everyone. But everyone they want, they get. Kappa and Gamma Phi are also at the top of the list every year as far as rush returns. Everyone likes them a lot. Pi Phi and Theta round out the top 5. They are respected houses, but have had their problems recently. They won't ever be an embarrassing affiliation.

AXO, ZTA, and KD are all right. I will say that KDs have a bit of a chip on their shoulders because they think they should be higher. They will probably be all over this ranking cutting down some of the higher houses and saying that KD should be up there.

The bottom houses are pretty easy to get into which is great because they all have a great sisterhood. The one I feel sorriest for is Tri Delta because they have such a strong house at OU and those girls are sooooo embarrassed by their chapter at OSU. Which says something about that sorority. Anyway, AOII has the ability to break away from this pack because they are new and don't really have a bad rep yet.

Having said all that, all the houses are better than being independent and living in a dorm or apt.

I do not agree with this assessment. All the sororities at OSU are great!

No one said all the sororities weren't great. They are different, though, and emphasize different things when recruiting new members. Grades are important in some houses. Unfortunately, that's just the true fact. Appearance is also important, as is reputation, activities in school, and who you know. It's a bid disingenuous to say that you disagree with this. If you are a sorority member you know what goes on during membership selection. It is VERY selective for some houses and a little less so for others. But all houses are looking at their own standards and choosing girls they think will fit in. So, while it is true that they're all good, it's not true that they're all the same.

This comment thread is unusual because it is mostly positive and mostly true. The houses are in the right order and people are mostly civilized in their comments. All the houses are good, just different. You can't go wrong as long as you're thoughtful in your choices. Don't choose a house for the wrong reasons~

The sororities mentioned are at the bottom as far as return rates and general desirability. But they are also close knit sisterhoods. If you want the sorority experience, you can have it in any house, even those that someone posted were at the bottom. So don't let that discourage you. I love being greek even though my house is not a top house.

Being greek is fun. My house is filled with good friends that I have formed a bond with. We're not the top house listed on here, but I love most (not all, of course, no one truly loves all the girls in her house) of my sisters and am unbelievably blessed to be a part of this sisterhood.
