Greek Life here is pretty cool. My only complaints are about the lack of Greek housing & the hazing. I have never heard of a sorority hazing at Tarleton, but I have heard of some fraternities.
I wish we had houses or at least a pace for meetings instead of using classrooms.
Never heard of any of the girls getting hazed but do hear some stories about the men.
Tarleton's greek life is an amazing way to get involved. Its not the only way but the greek community is huge in comparison to the campus, this way you get to meet lots of people. Rushing was one of my best decisions here on campus!
The school revolves around Greek life. Most leaders on campus have Greek affiliations. I wouldn't say they run the school but they have the ability to influence it highly. They don't have housing which isn't too bad cause Stephenville is a small town anyways. Everyone is pretty close in proximity. The social scene is fun there are always parties and tons of on campus activities to attend with or without alcohol. The Greek population is high and tends to be drive in other organizations across the board. The networking is amazing within the sororities or fraternities as a group and as Greeks as a whole. It opens doors to be Greek at Tarleton.
Honestly, everyone tries to recruit the geed who can drink the most, the hottest, and have good grades. Personalities are fake.
