Greek life is well known at Northeastern but isn’t what people come to Northeastern for. Pretty much sums it yp
NU Greek life is on the rise! Despite there are no "houses" due to the laws in Boston, but still have some fun parties! No rivalries and feels like the entire FSL seems to be altogether and supporting each other. Quite a lot of events organized by them and haven't heard of any sort of hazing!
It’s northeastern. Most of the kids that go to this school are weird as hell and didn’t have friends in highschool. Girls are pretty beat but some sororities have a couple decent girls. Parties are pretty eh, but if u don’t join Greek life I can guarantee u won’t go to any. Not being in Greek life here consists of hanging in your dorm with ur buddies splitting the 1 can of bud light u found on the street on Mission Hill. Kids also tend to get offended over anything here.
Greek on the rise at Northeastern
there's definitely a greek life presence, it's not huge like Alabama or Penn State but it's there
Greek life is a large part of the social scene here.
Greek life at NU is growing very quickly. There is a sorority for every type of girl and a frat for every type of guy. There are numerous frats off-campus that haze but the IFC is strict on campus. There is top and bottom for soriorties and frats. The school has a healthy mix of everything. There is always some sort of greek event going on and I don't know the exact figure but at least a 1/5 of the school seems to be involved in greek life of some sort.
greek life at northeastern isnt your stereotypical frats and srats, but the organizations on campus are awesome and involved and fun.
Greek life is on the rise at NU, with more interest from the newest freshmen and sophomores every year! The quality of organizations on campus is what you'd expect from an involved school like Northeastern. FSL feels more together than at most schools and there are less rivalries. The big challenge is the law of no fraternity/sorority houses in Boston, which hurts the social scene. This is limited to houses on Mission Hill or other apartments off campus. Still, greek life at NU is looking up!!!
