Lots of pnms dropping?

I heard a lot of girls who didn’t get the house they wanted are dropping to do COB and then just rushing their favorite houses then. I also heard that if that’s your plan then you should reach out to the houses you want to get a COB bid from like right now?? I don’t really know that’s just what my recruitment counselor told me

I don’t really get it but my recruitment counselor told me it’s like informal rush after bid day so like if you don’t accept a bid from anywhere you can do informal rush and still get the house you want I think. My recruitment counselor told me though if I’m going to take the chance with cob I should reach out to the president of the houses I want bc I guess a lot of girls already dropped to do cob

If a house fills the panhel preassigned number of new members from recruitment they will not take part in cob, but if a house has openings after recruitment it can be only one or two spots. So relying on this can be a risky move (and kind of surprised your recruitment counselor didn't discourage it). There are also snap bids which may be what you are thinking of. But again a risk to rely on this if the house you are thinking about has filled its pledge class. To be sure though, I'd would ask more details from panhel before dropping

Please do not put all of your eggs in one basket by dropping and doing COB. Sororities know if you drop the process and it is not the best look. Everyone ends up where they are menant to be and gets what they put into it!!! All 10 houses are amazing and you guys are so close to being done!

Pleeease, do not repeat cliches such as “trust the system” or “everyone ends up where they meant to be”. The system is faulty. Most selections are based on superficial communication and subjective criteria, that is why ranking is becoming obsolete and that is why guys should expect to find hot and cool girls in every sorority. My advice to PNMs: don’t get upset if you didn’t get your first choice, those who fly under the radar are often have more fun and less drama.
